here's that picture of the stain glass window i promised! i had a better one somewhere, but now i can't find it. (again with the prison! on the right!)

ugh.

i went to this really great restaurant that was recommended on trip adviser called "pascalou". i always get so nervous whenever people make me talk to them, and i knew that when i ordered they would try and make me talk....luckily for me though, people are generally pretty nice to their customers about speaking english, so i haven't really run into a problem.

they have a set menu every day...you can either get the two course, or the three course. i got the two course.

here are the handwritten menus on the wall.

somethign that's kind of a bummer here is that the only soda you can ever get is fanta and coca cola. so if you don't wan those, and you don't drink wine or coffee, you're basically out of luck.  i'm considering taking up drinking just so i have some different options.

i always end up with water!

there is french bread at EVERY meal. good thing my weight comes from fat and not from carbs, otherwise i would be screwed.

yummy beef and potato and garlic and onion dish!

there was the most beautiful and delicious fruit salad for dessert, but my camera died, so i didn't get a pic.

sad day.

the chef (that is a french native) was really great and came and talked to me...he used to be a chef at a ski lodge in colorado, so he knew of utah and had pretty good english. he has also been a chef in russia and switzerland, so that's pretty rad! but mostly he just wanted to talk to me about how much he hates france. very fun times.

then i went clothes browsing! there was this awesome store that had a bunch of stuff on sale, so i went there...and sadly most of everything didn't fit me, but i ended up finding this cute...thing for only ten euros! like...thirteen dollars.

i have nothing to wear with it here with me, so i improvised. yes. i know i don't match. cut me some slack. jeez.

just some cool architecture along the river...

went back to the church to take a picture of this sign so i could go home and translate it...

turns out they have meetings for members on tuesday and wednesday as well! which is great because i can't go to church this sunday because we will be going to paris! ahhh!

this picture was an accident....but i thought it was pretty cool. it shows the age of this 140 year old building. (the house i'm living in)

the family and i went to go see iasson in his play (he does community theatre(': and was so good!)
this is anna and i before we left...once again...don't say anything about my outfit. I KNOW.

the theatre had the comfiest seats EVEEER and i am wondering why airplane seats couldn't be as comfy.

i literally had no idea what was going on the whole time.

however, my favourite scene was this one where a boy and a girl (this is children's theatre, so i think they were acting as adults) were talking back and forth at each other from  opposite ends of the stage....then out of no where, the boy pulls a pool noodle sword from his belt, and brutally kills the girl on stage. it was.....awesome.

the rest of the time, i mostly played with these lights on the stairs.

good times in france had by all. good times had by all. (mostly me. obviously)

sometimes i watch french children's theatre
