i started january off with a trip to lava with two of the best ladies around.
it was so relaxing and so nice to get away even for just one night.

+ we had the grossest sparkling cider ever.


then my haley friend spoiled me with a trip to her grandparents.
it was so nice to get away from the smog.
we rode four-wheelers and had the best food/treats.

her grandparents are some of the sweetest people ever
and they have a beautiful home + beautiful animals.

i drove to the middle of nowhere with these people i had never met to sit in these hot springs, throw around glow sticks, sing disney songs, and trade back massages.

so glad that tyson chose to join us.

the new color that we added was platinum blonde in honor of my new best ever hair

some favorites from this year were shrek, fiona, & donkey, ghandi, the unicorn, the jew, miley cyrus,  and bob marley.



i went to the temple a lot in january.

i continued to create my space.

december started out the best way possible


WITH A BIRTHDAY

eric's roommates helped me out so much with the surprise party and balloon blow upping. it was the funnest.

i can't figure out how to make videos work on here, but whatever.


we went ice skating with new birthday sweater


stephanie did this super crazy thing to my hair !!!

after that, i drove straight into a pile of snow and tore off my front bumper and was a little late to eric's show at velour.


definitely a night of ups and downs


my school was the prettiest in december


kay and i made chocochip pancakes and ALMOST FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE BEFORE THEY WERE ALL EATEN. but then we remembered at the last second. my hair was still crazy at this point.

my roommates and i finally used our fireplace and had the coziest stoopiest christmas.




i went blonder and it was the best decision i have ever made with my hair. 

my work had their christmas party and i dressed for the holiday.

eric's work also had a christmas party that we went to, but i didn't take any pictures of that.


i met up with my road warrior bff in slc for some brunch at the copper onion. SO GOOD. also, if you haven't seen any of haley's incredible skills, please do that here.

that night eric and i spent some time with my sister and her husband in their cutest apartment up by the U. after that we stopped off to get some hot cocoa before seeing the lights, and who do we see!?!?!?  my favorite ever kati ditty. i was beside myself with happiness.

the rest of the week was spent with family and it was one of the best christmases i have had in a long time. i am so blessed with the family and friends that i have in my life. 

including these two pups! how did canute get so big so quickly?


the very last day of december was spent with my other favorite people in the entire world. my best friends who have truly proven to me over the years that they're more like family.
