for the past two years, i have celebrated said day with friends by making cookies and decorating them as different people of different races!
here are some moments from this year.
here's the set up. we had it at kacy's apt again this year.
this is ron weasley
this is an indian with a mohawk who is sad because his shift at the casino went too late.
this is nikki manaj (who won best in show this year. whoop whoop!)
this is me...wearing glasses!
this cookie is fun, because i didn't have to even colour it. it is just brown because it's burnt!
this is gabriela, the head house keeper at my hotel.
this is chester the molester/humpty dumpty
and this is martin luther king jr. himself!
among the rest of the cookies include aang the last airbender, obama, romney, princess tiger lily, jackie chan, dobbie the house elf, ronald mcdonald, and more! (see if you can spot them.)
and here are the friends who participated this year! i have the funnest friends and the funnest life! i'm so grateful for all of it!
my good friend, nick marsh, works at the ski rental shop in this beautiful property.
because he works in a rental shop that is directly related to the canyons resort, he was able to get me free equipment to rent, and a free buddy pass to the resort!
it was so fun and soooo hard. luckily, nick was a really great teacher and the snow was really soft and powdery. because i fell a lot. a looooot. there were a few times where i thought i wasn't going to get back up. but i did! i did it up until the very end when the park was closing. i only did the bunny hill once, then i was on blue hills the rest of the day.
the snowboarding boots made my feet look so baby.
the waxing table.
if you can't tell by my red face, it was very cold. but i had the best time! i am so grateful for the opportunities that i have been given and the fun things i have been able to do!
